Ko Samui

Ko Samui

Ko Samui or Koh Samui is an island off the east coast of Thailand. Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket.

Koh Samui’s varied and interesting programs await visitors: the island is home to plenty of amazing natural and man-made attractions.

It is worth mentioning Ang Thong National Park, an unspoilt archipelago of 42 islands in the Gulf of Thailand. It hides mountains, jungles, white sand beaches, waterfalls, bays and lakes. You can even get here from Koh Samui on a day trip.

One of its attractions is the Big Buddha statue and temple, which can be seen on the Big Buddha beach. The locals refer to it as Wat Phra Yai. It is characterized by a golden, 12-meter-high, seated Buddha statue.
Another curiosity is Koh Tao, which means Turtle Island. It lives up to its name, as it has a diverse turtle life and is also worth a visit for diving.

Also, if you’re already here, check out Namuang Waterfall, the Secret Buddha Garden, and the rustic-style, Fishermen’s Village of historical significance.
